The logo should be recognizable and help promote the CareStar mission:
“To encourage awareness of the home care worker and their contributions to the health care sector and the community at large”.
LOGO INSPIRATION:
The CareStar Awards recognizes caregivers across New York and Nassau County who do exceptional work and give 5-star service to the elderly and disabled who cannot care for themselves or needs help with their activities of daily living. The logo should tell the story of how they work hand in hand with the client and reach for the stars. The logo should be original work and reflect the care and compassion of the caregivers toward the client.
LOGO REQUIREMENTS:
Professional: This logo will be featured on our website, our social media platforms, and other mediums (stationary, pamphlets, t-shirts, etc.). As a result, while we want the logo to be eye-catching, it must still be legible.
Theme: Logo must promote the mission of the CareStar Award. The design should be universal in theme and not nation-specific.
Color: The logo must use the CareStar blue and yellow. Additionally, the logo must look good in color (if any) or black and white.
Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.
HOW TO ENTER YOUR DESIGN:
The contest begins on March 29, 2021. Submissions extended through April 22, 2021. Winners will be announced via the joint press event with Anchor HealthXchange and CareStar Awards, our website, social media websites, and direct contact with the winners’ email accounts. In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be:
- Submited directly to CareStar via our form [click link] www.carestaraward.com/logocontest
- Submit in their source file and
- Submit as a high resolution .pdf with 300 dpi or higher.

IMAGE FORMAT REQUIREMENTS:
– Designs must be created in vector format. Remember to keep the original vector files of your work. You will be asked for them later (Do not upload them).
– Designs must be in .jpeg or .png format. When uploading .png files, make sure you have a white background
– Minimum file size: 680 pixels wide x 490 pixels high, RGB format 300res/dpi.*
*If the size and format requirements are not met, the quality and resolution of your images will be compromised.
